Cardiff City 3 Portsmouth 2
Norwegian international Erik Huseklepp played for 88 minutes against Cardiff on Saturday, but the former Brann player had left the field when Craig Conway made it 3-2 in the 92nd minute and dramatically secured the win for the Bluebirds.

Reading 1 Cardiff City 2
A grumpy and moaning Reading manager Brian McDermott at the post match press conference was a pleasure seeing and it tells me we’re doing something right. After this strong away win I’m starting to believe that Cardiff City are up for a promotion push this season, and Peter Whittingham is a big part of the reason for that.
A weekend of mixed emotions for Jonathan Parr and me 09/11/2011

Cardiff City 2 Crystal Palace 0
SK Brann 1 Aalesunds FK 2, Norwegian Cup Final
Norwegian Jonathan Parr was an unused sub for Crystal Palace in our excellent win over the Eagles on Saturday. On Sunday Parr went to Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo for the Norwegian cup final, and although he of course didn’t play there either, he at least left the ground happy and with a cup winners medal, as his former club Aalesunds FK, for whom he played in a few cup rounds before his transfer to Palace, beat my Norwegian favourites, SK Brann, 2-1.

The players must have forgot we’ve entered November yesterday as they convincingly brushed aside Derby!

Cardiff City 2 Ipswich Town 2
Peterborough United 4 Cardiff City 3
On Saturday Michael Chopra – not surprisingly – made a goal scoring return to Cardiff with his new team Ipswich, and we were lucky to get a draw thanks to a dubious penalty decision after having fallen behind 1-2 in the second half. Two seasons ago we surrendered a 4-0 half time lead to let Peterborough back into the game and score four goals in the second half to make it 4-4. On Tuesday we twice had the lead at London Road, and went 3-2 up with just eleven minutes remaining, but we still couldn’t hang on to it. Devastating.

I’m writing this on a plane heading for London on what is a pilgrimage to Cardiff. It’s the first time my six year old son is going to watch the Bluebirds live, and for me it’s the first time I visit the Cardiff City
Stadium.
With maximum points from the last two away matches, only five games of the season remaining and with City having regained second place on Tuesday, the pilgrimage couldn’t have come at a better time!

Back in Britain to see Cardiff play almost a year after my last trip, it started out bad footballing wise. Shortly after having arrived in London I watched on the telly as the Bluebirds lost the match against Ipswich. On Tuesday night I returned to Selhurst Park to watch City play Crystal Palace, a match Cardiff won 2-1 last season. It proved to be an unhappy return to the Palace with Cardiff disappointingly loosing 0-1.
Kean on Ipswich with Roy gone 04/03/2011

Roy Keane might not have done very well overall in his time as manager of Ipswich Town, a reign that ended when he got sacked in January 2011, but during his two years in charge at Portman Road Ipswich was a nightmare opponent for Cardiff. With Keane now gone I’m optimistic about our chances of a win in front of the SkySports cameras Saturday!
