Birmingham City 1 Cardiff City 1
As other results in the Championship keep going in our favour and after the solid performance and decent point away at Birmingham, our hopes of a top six finish are revitalized. Here in Norway the new season got underway on Sunday, and a couple of Championship rejects made the headlines.

Cardiff City 0 Burnley 0
Before Sunday’s match against Burnley, Malky Mackay stated, in the same vain as his predecessor Dave Jones liked to do, that there’ll be many “twists and turns” from now until the end of the season. Hopefully he’s right, because the dull 0-0 draw against Burnley and failure to go fourth does not bode well for the remaining nine games. It sadly seems that City have gone from energetic overachievers to now being tired underperformers.

It comes with being a Cardiff City supporter to wish Swansea City all the worst, but should the Jacks (as seems likely) manage to keep their Premier League status this season, it might actually not be just bad. (more…)

Cardiff City 0 Hull City 3
Norwegians will get the headline pun. After the good away win at Bristol City on Saturday, I thought we had turned the corner and envisioned three home wins to come. After our poor performance and grim season worst home scoreline of 0-3 against Hull, we fell out of the Play Off places and figuratively into a hole (which is hull in Norwegian) that we need to climb out of pretty fast if promotion is still to be a possibility this season.

Bristol City 1 Cardiff City 2
It wasn’t the best of performances from City this season and we even needed two own goals to win, but it was three very important points secured and they were particularly welcome coming in the televised Severnside derby!
Liam Lawrence a coup from sinking Portsmouth and Norwegians on the move 10/03/2012

Portsmouth’s captain Liam Lawrence, who made his Cardiff debut against Brighton two days ago, abandoned the sinking Portsmouth ship to join us on loan last week, and the experienced midfielder seems a good acquisition. Norwegian Erik Huseklepp has also left Portsmouth to join our promotion rivals Birmingham, and a few other Norwegian have been on the move lately too.

Cardiff City 2 Liverpool 2 AET, 2-3 on penalties League Cup Final, Wembley
Nine days on from the League Cup final at Wembley, and my voice has just recovered from all the singing and shouting. My disappointed heart is also on the mend, and the pride of our brilliant performance in the League Cup final is starting to outweigh the heartache.
