The Scandinavian Liverpool supporters are obviously curious about Cardiff City ahead of Sunday’s final, as I’ve been interviewed by both liverpoolblogg.no and liverpoolsweden.se.

In preparation for Sunday I’ve decorated a Norwegian flag with cardiffcity.no, and I’ll be bringing it with me to Wembley. That will both make myself more spottable for those watching the game on TV at home, and show all those Norwegians in the Liverpool end that Norwegian Cardiff City supporters exist too!

The disappointment after yesterday’s 0-3 defeat at Ipswich was eased this morning as I was lucky enough to get myself a ticket for the League Cup final at Wembley against Liverpool. Although we’re destined to lose against the Reds, the temptation to experience another match with the Bluebirds at the incredible Wembley Stadium against a big club like Liverpool (with Craig Bellamy probably in their team) was just to strong to resist!

After two successive defeats it was great to get back on track with the 3-1 win against Peterborough midweek, but is there enough steam left to keep up the challenge for promotion in the remaining 15 Championship matches?

Southampton 1 Cardiff City 1
Cardiff City 1 Blackpool 3
Since my last post there’s been both ups and downs for City – both on and off the field. A good point at leaders Southampton was followed by a horrible 1-3 home defeat against Blackpool, and in the mean time we missed out on transfer targets that would have added both quality and much needed dept to the squad. Youngsters Haris and Harris are the only newcomers at present. The question is now wether or not we’ll be able to strike back like both West Ham and Leeds did after recent thumpings.
